WIN for Chapter 228!!
A WIN for NTEU and especially DOE Chapter 228 - during a meeting at the White House, our esteemed President Kim A Parker passionately advocated for all federal government unions when she highlighted the lack of engagement from DOE management in pre-decisional discussions and the absence of a true partnership. The response was, 'I did not know there were issues at DOE.'
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Chapter 228, President Kim A Parker, and especially Timothy Curry, DAD Accountability Workforce, OPM, for their instrumental role in ensuring the successful implementation of the President's Executive Order concerning the Federal Government and Promoting Labor-Management Forums.
On a promising note, on March 6, 2024, the President signed, executed, and implemented an Executive Order on Scaling and Expanding the Use of Registered Apprenticeships in Industries and the Federal Government, as well as Promoting Labor-Management Forums, a significant step towards fostering better labor-management relations.
